EVP policies are the same among sponsors, but operational rules and procedures vary. Below are the required steps for the J-1 internship sponsored by FUSIA as a self-placed exchange intern.

What to Note
1 EV must arrive within 30 days
before the program start date. Check
wait times when entering program dates.
2 FUSIA’s online system & user reords sync with
SEVIS, which requires accurate, current, complete, & verifiable submissions.
3 Complete all steps within 30 days. If more time is needed, consult
ADMIN.
4 Program fee is normally charged to EV- if to another person, click to specify.
5 Submission review will begin
all fields & docs are received. If “declined,” fix per email comments; repeat until “accepted.”
6 For efficient processing, follow instructions, communicate with
ADMIN via WhatsApp & check with
ADMIN before uploading.
7 Ensure #2 passport is valid for 6+ months after the program, even if
6-Month Rule applies.

9 Aim to complete the entire process within 30 days. If more time is needed, apply for an extension.
10 In the absence of a printer, upload the unsigned form & request
ADMIN to send the file via Adobe Sign.
