2026 - Dheeraj and Zi Yuin completed their J-1 internships at Zebra Strategies in New York City. Through participating in approved professional activities under supervisor guidance, they applied academic and technical knowledge in a real-world consulting environment while developing independence, initiative, and cross-cultural adaptability within an American workplace. The experience strengthened their communication skills, professional confidence, and global perspective, while timely support from FUSIA contributed to a well-managed and fulfilling program experience.

2026 - Elly, Nicholas, Nickolas, Benedict, and Tanushi completed their J-1 internships at the Tech Incubator at Queens College (TIQC) during the winter term. Through participating in approved innovation, engineering, and startup-related activities under supervisor guidance, they gained firsthand exposure to the US startup ecosystem while strengthening technical, analytical, and professional skills in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The experience supported their professional development, cross-cultural adaptability, and understanding of how technology, entrepreneurship, and real-world problem-solving intersect in practice.

2026 - Rui Jie and Arun completed their J-1 internships at SpeakHire in New York City during the winter season. Through participating in approved software engineering activities under supervisor guidance, they strengthened their technical skills in React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, database management, and version control while applying professional engineering practices in a fast-paced environment. Experiencing life in NYC during winter, including the holiday period, supported their personal growth, independence, and cross-cultural development, contributing to a fulfilling J-1 program experience.

2026 - Emma completed her J-1 internship at the New York State Senator John Liu’s district office. Through participating in approved public-sector activities under supervisor guidance, she gained firsthand exposure to legislative operations, constituent services, and policy processes, while developing professional communication skills and a deeper understanding of civic engagement and public service in the US.

2026 - Jane and Sarah interned at NYS Assemblymember Ron Kim’s Office through FUSIA’s BridgeUSA J-1 Internship Program. During their internship, they supported constituent services, community outreach, and public policy initiatives while gaining firsthand exposure to public service and local government operations. They greatly enjoyed the experience and were grateful for the opportunity to learn from the Assemblymember’s team and serve the Queens community.

2026 - Dawn and Cathy completed their J-1 internships at Jamaica YMCA. Through observing program operations and participating in approved activities under supervisor guidance, they gained insight into how community organizations engage diverse participants and support neighborhood well-being.
