The last stop of their first day with the New York Exploration Program (NYEP) brought the students to the High Line, an elevated park that exemplifies innovative urban green space. Winding through the bustling city on this reclaimed rail line, they soaked in the blend of art, nature, and architecture. The tranquility of the High Line, with its panoramic city views and artistic installations, was a calming end to an eventful day. Tired but fulfilled from their day's adventures, the students then embarked on a quintessential New York experience to conclude their day: riding the NYC subway. This journey back, navigating the city's iconic transit system, was not just a means of travel but a fitting immersion into the everyday life of the city. The subway ride marked the end of a day rich in cultural and educational experiences, leaving the students with lasting memories of their diverse and vibrant first day in New York.
