The Flushing and Jamaica YMCA interns gathered for dinner with their supervisors and the founder of FUSIA, Elizabeth Kay. The casual dinner provided an opportunity for the interns to deepen connections with their managers outside of the workplace. Over burgers and fries, the group engaged in meaningful conversations about careers in the nonprofit sector. Supervisors shared valuable insights from their own professional journeys and offered encouragement to the aspiring young professionals.
